Fraud at Target

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a female suspect wanted for using a fraudulent credit card at several Target stores in Palm Beach County, including one in west Boca Raton, the PBSO said.

The sheriff’s office said the woman who was wearing pink hospital scrubs was captured on video at the Target Store on U.S. 441 in West Boca.

A wallet with several credit cards and case was stolen from an office in Wellington on April 8, the sheriff’s office said.  She has been using those cards.

DUI Charge

Boca Raton police arrested a man just before 2 a.m. April 28 on Congress Avenue and charged him with driving while under the influence of alcohol, police said.  Officers stopped him because he was allegedly driving north in the southbound lane.  The suspect refused to give breath sample, according to police.  He was taken to the county jail.

Business Break

Boca Raton police said several unknown suspects removed the barricades on a Palmetto Road construction site and broke into three gang boxes belonging to an electrical company and two that are property of an elevator firm.  Police said that numerous power tools, drills, band saws and other saws were taken. The incident occurred April 28, said police.

Fraud Reported

A Deerfield Beach woman reported to police April 28 that someone had used her debit card at an ATM on NE Fifth Avenue on April 22.  The person made withdrawals of $100 and $400, she told police.  The woman also reported that she has since cancelled the card.

Siphoned Gas

A Boca Raton resident told police April 28 that someone siphoned $35 worth of gasoline from his van while it was parked at home.  The suspect left fingerprints on the access door to the gas tank and on the hood, police said.
