Shoplifting Report
A male juvenile was detained by a loss prevention officer at Macy’s in Town Center at Boca Raton mall about 2:20 p.m. April 3 on a shoplifting charge, police said. Authorities allege the youth took two shirts into the fitting room, removed the tags and concealed the merchandise in his pants. He then left the store without paying. He was apprehended outside and arrested, police said. He was then released to his mother, police said.
Drug Charges
Boca Raton police arrested a woman just before 6:30 p.m. April 3 and charged her with possession of unprescribed bottles of oxycontin and drug paraphernalia (syringes, metal spoons, metal strainer). Police located her in the restroom of a CVS Pharmacy on Glades Road in Boca Raton. She was taken to the county jail, said police.
Auto Entered
Police said a Boca Raton man reported April 3 that someone entered his car and stole golf equipment from his trunk. The vehicle was parked at the man’s home, police said.
Credit Fraud
A woman told Boca Raton police April 3 that she had lost several credit cards from a cardholder. One of them was used to make a purchase at a store, police said.
Wallet Taken
A resident told Boca Raton police April 3 that someone removed her wallet from her car, police said.
Parts Removed
A resident of Boca Raton told police April 3 that someone took the 16 lugnuts off the tires of his 2007 Corvette. They were all recovered next to the car. The vehicle was parked in a garage at Mizner Park when the incident happened, said police.
Home Vandalized
Boca Raton police received a call from a local homeowner April 3 saying someone smashed the rear sliding glass door that leads to a bedroom at her house, police said.
