McDonald’s Robbed
Boca Raton police are investigating a report of an armed robbery about 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the McDonald’s on West Yamato Road.
Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said a man entered through an unlocked rear door that had inadvertently been left open earlier in the night. She said the man showed one employee a handgun that was in the waistband of his pants, and demanded the employee open the safe.
Police said the employee complied and the suspect left the business with $1,200 in cash. Another employee was in the restaurant, but did not see the suspect, police said.
The suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-10 and weighing 175 to 190 pounds, with a thin
Mustache. He was wearing a light brown shirt, jeans, and a beanie, police said.

Drug Charge
Boca Raton police arrested a suspect about 2:50 a.m. April 3 and charged him with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. The arrest followed a traffic stop on West Palmetto Park Road, said police.
Mailboxes Damaged
A vandal damaged two curbside mailboxes on Oregon Lane in Boca Raton, according to a police report. The incident was reported April 3.
Salon Entered
Boca Raton police are investigating a break into a hair salon on West Palmetto Park Road reported April 3. Police said the intruder or intruders got in through a roof hatch. Once inside, they pried open a floor safe, rummaged through cash drawers and stole a bag of hair stylist tools worth about $500, police said.
Residential Burglary
Boca Raton police were told April 3 that a home was broke into. The report said the thief stole a variety of lawn tools, including a weed cutter, hedge trimmer, edger, blower and two chainsaws.
