Drug Charge
Boca Raton police made two drug arrests less than an hour apart the morning of March 13, police said.
Just before 2 a.m., police arrested a man and a woman in a car on West Palmetto Park Road. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and she was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. Police said both were taken to the county jail.
In the other incident, police said a 20-year-old man was charged with possession of seven grams of marijuana. He was arrested about 2:20 a.m. during a disturbance on SE Mizner Boulevard, police said. He was processed and released on his own recognizance.
Identity Fraud
Boca Raton police received a call from a man in Maryland March 13 complaining that an unknown suspect fraudulently opened a DirecTV account for a home in Boca Raton using his personal information, said police. The caller said he received a copy of his credit report and saw that the account had been opened in February.
Business Vandalized
A business on North Federal Highway was vandalized March 13, police said. Sometime between March 7 and March 12,m someone sprayed paint on five rear access doors. The paint was used to form a signature on all of the doors, said police.
In another incident of vandalism, police said they received a report March 13 that damage had been done to the clubhouse.
Wallet Stolen
A Boca Raton woman told police that her wallet was stolen from the bathroom of a Boca Raton business. She said a credit card, a debit card, $4 in cash and three forms of identification were in the wallet, police said.
Cash Taken
A Boca Raton man told police March 13 that someone stole $700 in cash from his pouch while he was shopping at a local market.
