DUI Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a suspect on a charge of driving while under the influence just before 2 a.m. March 10. The arrest came after police investigated a car accident on South Federal Highway. The motorist refused a breath test, police said, and was removed to the county jail.
Theft Reported
The night engineer for a motel in Boca Raton reported March 10 that a vending machine was damaged, police said. He said he saw two suspects, a male and a female, who both fled in a white, two-door car with a Florida license plate, police said.
Drug Charges
Following a traffic stop about 9 p.m. March 9 on North Federal Highway, Boca Raton police arrested a motorist and charged him with possession of oxycodone, xanax, methadone, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said. The suspect was taken to the county jail.
Vandalized Car
Boca Raton police said a local man’s car was vandalized while he was at Sugar Sand Park. The victim told police March 9 that the driver’s side window was cracked, but did not shatter.
Warrant Arrest
While checking the registration of a car stopped on North Dixie Highway about 7:25 p.m. March 9, police determined the driver was operating with a suspended license. It was also determined the man was wanted on a warrant by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested, processed and taken to the county jail, police said.
Loud Trespasser
A man was issued a trespassing notice after yelling at a speaker during a banquet at a Boca Raton hotel, police said. The incident occurred about 7:40 p.m. on March 9. Police said the banquet manager issued the man a verbal trespass warning in the presence of a police officer. The suspect then left without incident, police said.
