DUI Charge
When Boca Raton police stopped a car on West Camino real about 10:18 p.m. March 8, they determined the operator was impaired. He was charged with driving while under the influence, police said.
Drug Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a motorist on East Palmetto Park Road just after midnight March 9 and charged him with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. He was taken to the police station and then released on his own recognizance, police said.
Theft On Video
Boca Raton police said a video surveillance camera taped three men breaking into a coin-dispensing machine at a local Laundromat March 9, police said. The tape shows the suspects removing a coin box and some dollar bills and putting them in a red bag, police said. The suspects then left, police said.
Vehicle Vandalized
A resident of Boca Raton told police March 9 that someone vandalized his vehicle. He said the driver’s side window was smashed, according to police.
Business Break
Boca Raton police said the owner of a self-storage facility reported March 9 that suspects broke into five storage bays. They broke the locks on all the units, police said, and stole an $1,800 generator and a box of applicator pads worth about $200, police said.
Car Damaged
Boca Raton police said a woman contacted them March 9 to report that someone had burglarized her rented car. A suspect used an unknown object to smash a hole in the right rear passenger window. The intruder stole two laptop computers worth $2,500, police said.
Stereo Stolen
A Boca Raton resident told police March 9 that someone broke into his car and stole a stereo system and amplifier, according to police.
Warrant Arrest
Following an encounter on Banyan Trail about 4 p.m. March 9, police arrested a man wanted on a warrant in Pasco County for contempt of court. The man was taken to the county jail for disposition, police said
