Obscene Messages
A Lynn University student told Boca Raton police March 7 that she has been receiving obscene text messages on her cellular telephone. She described the messages to police as “vulgar,” a report said.
Slashed Tires
A Boca Raton resident told police March 7 that someone slashed all four tires on his car, police said. He said the vehicle was in a parking lot on NWS 13th Street at the time the tires were damaged, police said.
Identity Theft
A resident of Boca Raton told police March 7 that an unknown suspect stole his identity and used it to apply for two credit cards and a cellular telephone account. The victim told police he received three letters advising him of the transactions.
Playstation Stolen
A resident of Boca Raton told police his son’s $700 Playstation was stolen from his residence between March 6 and March 7, police said. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
Addresses Taken
A Boca Raton woman told police March 7 that two address books containing credit card numbers, bank account number and other personal information were stolen from her residence, police said.
Signs Returned
The manager of a condominium complex on SE Miner Boulevard told police March 7 that two signs were stolen from the property, but were returned before police arrived.
Handbag Theft
An elderly Boca Raton woman told police that an unknown suspect stole her red handbag March 7, police said.
Window Smashed
A resident of Boca Raton told police March 7 that a short, thin man wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a white hat smashed the rear sliding window of his pickup truck, police said. The victim said he saw the suspect standing on the bed of his truck, but he quickly fled, said police. Nothing was taken.
