Saturation Patrol
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has announced it will conduct a DUI and traffic saturation patrol from 6 p.m. today until 4 a.m. Saturday in unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County, and the cities of Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay.
DUI Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a man for driving while under the influence of alcohol on NW Second Avenue about 1 a.m. Feb. 16, police said. He gave officers two breath samples, then was taken to the county jail for disposition, police said.
Warrant Arrest
When Boca Raton police stopped a motorist on North Military Trail about 1:35 a.m. Feb. 17, they determined he was wanted on a warrant from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken to the county jail, police said.
Drug Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a suspect Feb. 17 on a charge of possession of oxycodone, police said. Officers said in a report they saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of CVS on West Yamato Road just before 8 p.m. The occupant of the car was arrested and taken to the county jail, police said.
Home Burglary
A Boca Raton resident told police that someone entered his residence sometime between Feb. 16 and Feb. 17 and removed about $18,000 worth of jewelry and $400 in cash, according to a police report.
Lied About Accident
A man may face charges for allegedly lying about an accident, Boca Raton police said. In a report, police said the man made a verbal and written statement saying he had witnessed an accident that involved his friends. He later admitted lying, and said he had never seen the accident. Charges of making a false statement may be filed by the State Attorney’s Office, police said.
