Equipment Taken
Two companies, an engineering firm and a welding corporation, reported to Boca Raton police Feb. 4 that some of its heavy equipment was stolen from a construction site on Palmetto Park Road, police said. The total value of the lost was estimated at $21,900, according to a police report.
Motorcycle Stolen
A Boca Raton resident told police Feb. 4 that someone stole his motorcycle while it was parked in front of his home. He said the theft occurred between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4, the report said.
Pickpocket Report
A couple from Coral Springs contacted Boca Raton police Feb. 4 to report a pickpocket incident in Boca. The woman said a gold French wallet was taken. She said she was shopping at a Boca store when someone bumped into her. She said she was notified that the suspect had used some of her stolen credit cards at stores in Boca Raton, police said.
Graffiti Report
Boca Raton police are investigating a report that someone spray-painted graffiti on the wall of a building on Crawford Boulevard. The vandalism was discovered Feb. 4, police said.
Dish Damage
A Boca Raton woman told police that someone stole the antenna to her satellite dish and also cut the wiring, police said. The incident was reported Feb. 4 and likely occurred the day before, police said.
Van Burglarized
Boca Raton police received a report Feb. 4 that a heavy-set man was observed smashing the driver’s side window of a car parked in the lot at a Boca Raton restaurant. The intruder tried to remove a global positioning system. The suspect fled in a silver mini-van, said witnesses.
Bench Taken
A property owner in Boca Raton reported to police Feb. 4 that someone took a bench worth $100 from the parcel of land owned by a business association, police. The reporting party said the last time he saw the bench was Feb. 3, said police.
