Robbery Probe

Boca Raton police are investigating an unarmed robbery that occurred about 11:10 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 4000 block of North Military Trail.

According to a report, the female victim said she was riding her bicycle southbound on Military Trail when she saw a white four-door vehicle drive by slowly, also heading southbound.

The woman said she saw the vehicle pull into the entrance to the Preserve and two subjects got out and disappeared from sight.  Police said that as she approached the vehicle, she was confronted by two suspects who came at her from behind the bushes.  They knocked her off her bicycle and forcefully removed the backpack-style purse off her back.

Police said the two suspects got into the vehicle and then drove southbound on Military Trail.

The victim said both suspects were male and had something covering the lower portion of their faces. Police said she suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Boca Raton Community Hospital.

Anyone having additional information is asked to call Detective Sanchez (561) 338-1307.
