Drug Charges
Following a traffic stop on West Palmetto Park Road about 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 31, police arrested two suspects and charged them with possession of crack cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. The suspects were taken to the county jail, said police.
DUI Arrests
Boca Raton police arrested a motorist about 4:40 a.m. Jan. 31 and charged him with driving while under the influence of alcohol, police said. The suspect was involved in a single-car crash on Lennox Drive, said investigators. After providing a breath sample, the suspect was taken to the county jail, police said.
In an unrelated incident, police arrested another man on a DUI charge just before 1:40 a.m. on Feb. 1. His car was stopped on West Palmetto Park Road, said police. He was taken to the police station where he gave two breath samples. Then, police said, he was taken to the county jail.
Identity Theft
A Highland Beach man reported to Boca Raton police Feb. 1 that someone had used his credit card number to buy fuel at a gasoline station in Boca Raton. He said the card was used three times between Dec. 28 and Jan. 1.
Purse Stolen
A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 1 that her purse was taken from a shopping cart at a local market while she stood in line to pay for the groceries, police said.
Car Burglarized
A Boca Raton woman told police someone burglarized her car. She said the intruder stole a $25 canvas bag from the trunk. The bag contained personal items. Police said they found no sign of forced entry.
Windshield Smashed
A West Boca Raton man told Boca police Feb. 1 that his windshield was smashed as he was driving west on NW Spanish River Boulevard. The man said he heard a loud noise and the windshield shattered, said police.
