DUI Arrest

Boca Raton police arrested a motorist on a charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on NE 1st Avenue about 1:20 a.m. Feb. 6, police said.  He was searched, and police said they found him in possession of a Schedule II substance without a valid prescription

Three Burglars

A man told Boca Raton police that he saw three men burglarizing a car in the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel on NW Executive Center Circle just after midnight Feb. 8.  He said the man left the area in a newer-model blue SUV.  Police said four cars in the lot had been burglarized.  Police processed the vehicles for fingerprints, police said.

Car Taken

A Boca Raton woman contacted police Feb. 7 seeking help in locating her car that she said was taken by her ex-boyfriend.  She said he took it from a restaurant parking lot and has still not returned it, police said.

Auto Burglarized

Boca Raton police are investigating a burglary from a car at a local home reported Feb. 7.  The owner said the vehicle had been left unlocked and was ransacked, but nothing was taken, police said.

Home Entered

A Boca Raton resident told police Feb.7 that his home had been entered. He told police the intruder burglarized a second-floor apartment.  He said the thief removed a window pane, reached in and stole money that was left on a coffee table, police said.

Theft Try

A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 7 that someone damaged the ignition area of her car while apparently trying to steal the vehicle. She said the intruder pried the driver’s door lock, removed the cover from the steering column and tried to break the ignition.  Nothing was stolen from the car, which police said was parked outside Nordstrom at the Town Center at Boca Raton mall.
