Attempted Robbery
Boca Raton police arrested two suspects for an attempted strong-arm robbery that occurred on NW 4th Avenue about 11 p.m. Jan. 31, according to reports.
Police said the victims had just left an apartment complex and were walking southbound when several men approached them. One punched a victim in the head, knocking him down, and demanded “everything in your pockets.” The other man ran, police said.
Officers surrounded the area and found two suspects. Police identified them as James Baisden, 21, of NE 15th Terrace and Thetus LJ Flemming, 18, of Dixie Highway, both in Boca Raton.
Burglary Probed
Boca Raton police investigated a report of a burglary about 4:20 a.m. Feb. 7 at a home on NW Trieste Way, police said. Witnesses reported seeing two men going into the building through the garage door. The suspects fled on foot before police arrived, the report said. Officers searched the area, but found no suspects, said police.
Auto Burglaries
A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 7 that someone burglarized two cars parked in her driveway. A camera and $50 worth of compact discs along with a diaper bag were taken, police said.
Vandalism Reported
Police are investigating a report Feb.7 of graffiti being sprayed on the walls under the Glades Road overpass at Military Trail, police said.
Property Damage
A Boca Raton woman told police Feb. 7 she believes her ex-boyfriend damaged her front door by hitting it with an unknown object, and then knocked down a 12-foot-tall palm tree in her front yard.
Car Entered
A resident of Boca Raton told police Feb. 7 that someone entered his car while it was parked on East Royal Palm Road. It was ransacked, he said, but nothing was taken, police said.
