Stolen Checks
A Boynton Beach businessman told Boca Raton police Jan. 24 that his
former secretary fraudulently cashed one of his checks for $83.99
at a Boca Raton supermarket. He said checks had been stolen from his
office, police said.
Window smashed
Boca Raton police received a report Jan. 24 that someone smashed
the front driver’s side window of a woman’s car while
it was parked on West Palmetto Park Road. Her purse was then stolen
from the vehicle, police said.
Theft From Office
A Boca Raton businessman told police Jan. 24 that someone stole a
$300 iPod docking station from his office. Police said they could
find no signs of forced entry.
Convertible Burglarized
The owner of a Mercedes convertible told police Jan. 24 that someone
entered his car while it was parked on North Dixie Highway and stole
a $200 cassette cartridge from the front passenger seat, police said.
Cologne Theft
A man was caught stealing four bottles of cologne from the Publix
Supermarket on West Palmetto Park Road about 2 p.m. Jan. 24, police
said. He was captured by a loss prevention officer. Police said store
management declined to prosecute and the suspect was issued a trespass
warning.
Drug Charge
Boca Raton police arrested a man about 1:40 a.m. Jan. 22 and charged
him with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the man’s
car was stopped on NW 40th Street. He was processed and released on
his own recognizance, police said.
Scarf Stolen
A Boca Raton woman complained to police Jan. 27 that her $500 scarf
was stolen while she was attending a fundraising event.
Pipe Found
Boca Raton police issued a woman a notice to appear in court after
she was found in possession of a crack cocaine pipe, police said.
She was in a car that was stopped on NE Third Street.
