A Miami man died in a multiple car collision at 7:36 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Yamato Rd. and NW 2nd Ave., Boca Raton, police said.

The report said a black Toyota pick-up truck and a white Toyota sedan collided at the intersection.

Police said the sedan then struck a white H2 Hummer that was in the southbound left turn lane of NW 2nd Ave. to eastbound Yamato Road. The pickup truck came to rest on its passenger side. The front seat passenger, Juan G. Gonzalez, 23, of Miami, was pronounced at the scene, said police.

The report identified the driver of the Toyota sedan as Stephane Mondesir, 19, of Boynton Beach; driver of the pickup as Carlos Gonzales, 22, of Coconut Creek and the driver of the Hummer as Amid Ghahramani, 45, of NE 32nd St., Boca Raton.

In a separate incident, a Boynton Beach man was killed Thursday when a minivan struck him while he was checking a flat tire on his SUV on I-95 in Boca Raton, said FHP.

Christopher Altimari, 37, died instantly, said FHP. The accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway just north of the Congress Avenue exit.

FHP identified the minivan’s driver as James Gammack-Clark, 31, of Boynton Beach, who was unhurt.

Boca Raton police arrested a local resident about 2:35 a.m. Jan. 10 and charged him with simple battery for allegedly kicking his live-in girlfriend in the back, police said. He was also charged with obstruction for failing to obey a police officer, the report said. The suspect was taken to the county jail, said police.
