Robbery Suspects
Delray Beach police have arrested two men in connection with several
robberies that have occurred during the past month along Lake Ida
Road between Congress Avenue and Barwick Road, police said.
The men, identified by police as Guerry Charles and Lherisson Massillon,
both 17 and both of Delray Beach, were each charged with one count
of robbery with a firearm.
Public Information Officer Jeff Messer said that during questioning
Charles allegedly admitted to committing two other armed robberies
along this stretch of road. Messer said charges for these crimes are
“coming in the very near future.”
Cash and cell phones were taken during these robberies, Messer said.
Police said that although both subjects are 17 years old, Charles
has three prior felony arrests and one conviction and Massillon has
14 previous felony arrests and four felony convictions.
In spite of the records, Messer said, both teens were sent to the
Juvenile Assessment Center for evaluation.

Marijuana Charge
Boca Raton police stopped a motorist on NW Second Avenue about 1:35
a.m. Jan. 15 and arrested him for possession of 5.8 grams of marijuana.
He was taken to the county jail because he did not have a local address,
police said.
Liquor Theft
Boca Raton police are investigating a pair of liquor store burglaries
on St. Andrew’s Boulevard reported Jan. 15.
Police said an intruder stole 18 bottles of vodka from one store.
The glass door to another store was smashed, but nothing was taken,
said police.
Harassing calls
A Boca Raton man told police Jan. 15 he has been receiving harassing
telephone calls on his cell phone from an unknown person. The victim
said the man threatened to do him bodily harm. Police said the victim
lives and works in Boca Raton.
