Cocaine Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a suspect just before 8:40 a.m. Jan. 14
and charged him with the sale, manufacture and possession of cocaine,
police said. The report said the suspect had 24.9 grams of the drug.
He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, said police.
The suspect was taken to the county jail for disposition.
Van Burglarized
A Boca Raton company’s van was burglarized, an official told
police Jan. 14. He said someone entered the vehicle by jimmying the
rear door. The thief stole a $1,000 stereo system, police said.
Purse Taken
A Boca Raton woman told police Jan. 14 that someone smashed the passenger
side window of her car and stole her black leather purse that was
on the floor in the front seat, police said.
Naughty Neighbor
A resident of Boca Raton told police Jan. 14 that her neighbor has
been aggravating her by coming onto her property and leaving trash,
police said. She said the neighbor has been doing it since she moved
in 16 months ago, but it has been getting worse during the past six
months, police said.
Car Vandalized
A man who lives in Boca Raton reported to police Jan. 14 that someone
used a sharp object to scratch the paint on his car. Police said the
damage was estimated at $200.
More Graffiti
A woman called Boca Raton police Jan. 14 to report that more graffiti
had been spray-painted on the south wall of a business building on
South Federal Highway. Police took photos of the graffiti and put
it into evidence. Police will also conduct additional patrols in the
area of the property.
Purse Stolen
A woman told police someone stole her handbag from an unsecured cabinet
at her workplace. She said the bag contained $275 in cash.
