ATM Fraud
A resident of Palm Springs, Fla., contacted Boca Raton police Jan.
16 to report that someone used his ATM card to make two withdrawals
at a supermarket in Boca Raton, one for $400, the other for $100,
police said.
DUI Report
Police arrested a motorist about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 17 and charged him
with driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police said he
was charged after his vehicle was stopped on North Federal Highway
in Boca Raton.
Threatening Calls
A Boca Raton resident told police Jan. 16 that he has been receiving
threatening telephone calls from his former business partner.
Credit Fraud
The owner of a Miami fence business told Boca Raton police Jan. 16
that someone made a $849 purchase in Boca Raton using a fraudulent
credit card with his business VISA card number on it. He said the
purchase was made Jan. 13, and he has since canceled the card.
Domestic Battery
Boca Raton police arrested a man just before 5 p.m. Jan. 16 and charged
him with felony domestic battery on his live-in girlfriend, police
said. The report said the woman received bruises and a cracked tooth
during the altercation. The suspect was taken to the county jail.
Home Burglarized
A Boca Raton woman called police Jan. 16 to report that her parents’
home had been entered between Jan. 1 and Jan. 16. She said the front
door was forced open, but it appeared nothing was taken.
Warrant Arrest
Boca Raton police arrested a local resident who was wanted on warrants
from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, police said. The
man was taken to the county jail for disposition.
Car Vandalized
A Boca Raton resident told police Jan. 16 that someone vandalized
her car in a parking lot on NE 44th Street. The vandal used a black
marker to damage the vehicle, police said.
