Graffiti Found
Boca Raton police reported the discovery of graffiti on two concrete
walls beneath the I-95 overpass on North Military Trail. It was found
about 8:30 a.m. Dec. 24, said police. The exact time of the incident
could not be determined, police said.
Retail Theft
Boca Raton police responded to the Nordstrom Store in Town Center
at Boca Raton mall to investigate a report of a shoplifting about
10:30 p.m. Dec. 23. A man and woman were arrested and charged with
retail theft. The woman was released on her own recognizance; the
man was taken to the county jail, police said. They allege the woman
stole $209 worth of merchandise; the man, $371 worth, police said.
Road Rage
An alleged “road rage” incident led to the arrest of
a man on a charge of simple battery about 11:35 p.m. Dec. 23. Police
said one man punched another man in the face twice. Police said the
incident happened on West Glades Road and stemmed from a road rage
incident.
Aggravated Assault
Boca Raton police arrested a woman just before midnight on Dec. 23
and charged her with aggravated battery (domestic). Police allege
she struck her live-in boyfriend in the face with a wine glass, causing
a severe laceration to his forehead.
Cars Entered
Boca Raton police said someone smashed the front window of a car
and pried open the window of a second vehicle and took holiday gifts
that were inside. The incident occurred Dec. 23, police said. The
vehicles were parked in the yard of a home on North Federal Highway,
police said.
Purse Stolen
A Boca Raton resident told police someone entered his car while it
was parked at a local fitness center Dec. 23. The thief smashed the
rear window and stole a purse, police said. A similar burglary took
place in the same area.
