Fatal crash
Boca Raton police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that
occurred in the 1000 block of West Palmetto Park Road about 7:10 a.m.
Sunday.
Public Information Officer Sandra Boonenberg said a pickup truck
was heading east on Palmetto when the driver lost apparently lost
control and went up onto the median where it struck a number of trees.
It went back into the road and crossed the three eastbound lanes of
Palmetto Park Road and hit a tree
Police said the driver, identified as Brian J. O’Shea, 25,
of SW 1st Street, Boca Raton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jewelry Stolen
Boca Raton police are investigating a burglary at a home reported
Dec. 15. The owner said that during the past few weeks, a gold ring
worth $1,000 was taken along with a gold woman’s ring worth
$800 and a pistol. Police said they found no signs of forced entry.
Pill Taken
A woman who arrived home about 10 p.m. on Dec. 15 may have caused
a robber to flee, police said. Investigators said a suspect entered
the house and removed one prescription pill. He apparently ran out
when the occupant drove up. Witnesses said he may have fled in a black
car, said police.
GPS Removed
Boca Raton police received a report Dec. 15 that someone entered
a car parked on East Camino Real and stole a global positioning system
(GPS) from the center console.
Simple Assault
Boca Raton police arrested a man on a charge of simple assault after
he allegedly struck his wife about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 16, police said.
Beer theft
Five juveniles entered a Glades Road convenience store Dec. 16, but
the store clerk refused. One of them then stole a 12-pack of Corona.
They five left in two separate cars, police said.
