Robbery Suspects
Boca Raton police arrested two men Dec. 12 on charges of strong-arm
robbery. A police report said the two men followed a woman from a
convenience store onto NW 15th Street, where they grabbed her purse
twice in an attempt to take it away from her, said police. Police
arrested them a short time later. The incident was reported just before
9:30 p.m., said police
Keys Taken
A Boca Raton woman told police Dec. 13 that someone broke into her vehicle
while it was parked on West Palmetto Park Road. She said the intruder
smashed out a rear passenger window and stole a metal box filled with
keys, according to police.
Trailer Stolen
The owner of a 4-by-6-foot trailer told police Dec. 13 that someone
stole the vehicle from the back of his pickup truck while it was in
a parking lot on NW 1st Avenue, police said.
Home Burglarized
Boca Raton police are investigating a burglary at a home on NW 24th
Way reported Dec. 13, police said. The victim told police that someone
stole three full red gasoline cans from her open garage. A witness
reported seeing two men in their 20s take the cans. They put them
in a four-door black car and drove off, said police.
Threatening Messages
A local employer told Boca Raton police Dec. 13 that a former worker
that he fired has been sending him threatening text messages. The
first came in on his cell phone Dec. 12 while he was at home. The
second came in Dec. 13 while he was working, according to police reports.
IPod Taken
A Boca Raton resident told police Dec. 13 that someone stole an
iPod from his car. He said the item was apparently taken when he had
to have the vehicle removed to a tow yard. The iPod was valued at
$350, he told police.
