ROBERT M. ROSS
BOCA RATON
Robert M. (Bob) Ross, 82, passed away early Thursday morning, February 21, 2008 in hospice care at St. Andrews North, Boca Raton, FL. At his bedside was the love of his life, his wife of nearly 60 years, Lee. Bob is also survived by his children who adored him. Bill of Coconut Grove, FL, and Jacqui (Lew) Rose, of N. Potomac MD; his sister June Hechinger of Washington, DC and beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Carol Greene, of Columbus, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was a man of great humor and courage. He battled and survived, cancer four times in the last 17 years. He and Lee lived a life of great travels and journeys, which led them to live in Europe twice, and visit Africa, the Middle East, South America, and Southeast Asia among other destinations. Ten days prior to his death he enjoyed a Caribbean cruise in honor of Lee’s 80th birthday with his family. Bob was a passionate alum of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, never missed the televised game between the Wolverines and the Buckeyes. His career in Real Estate development led him to the Presidency of Levitt & Sons and senior positions with Kaufman & Broad and General Development. A private celebration of his life will be held next week. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor or Hospice by the Sea, Boca Raton, FL
ELLEN HAZEL LOERCHER
Ellen Hazel Loercher, age 99, of Blue Bell, PA, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell. The daughter of the late Himla and Adolf Sederlund of Goteborg, Sweden, she was born in Providence, RI. She grew up in Pontiac, RI and was a long-term resident of Warwick, RI and Boca Raton, FL. She also lived in Yardley, PA for three years. For the past five years, she has lived at Normandy Farms Estates in Blue Bell. Throughout her life, she remained proud of her Swedish heritage. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, she received an Associate in University Extension diploma, from Brown University in 1970. She is the author of Credenda, a collection of quotations, aphorisms, and original writings that reflected her philosophy of life and her dedicated support of animal welfare and environmental organizations. Prior to her marriage, she was employed as an Executive Secretary with Armbrust Chain Co. in Providence. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Loercher Pazicky, her grandson Luke Arthur Edward Pazicky, and her son-in-law Edward P. Pazicky of Yardley, PA. Her husband, Gustav Arthur Loercher, passed away in 1980. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St.,Washington, DC 20037.
