Young Professionals raise $1,900 for March of Dimes

Published May 8th, 2008

FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Young Business Professionals group participated in the March of Dimes March for Babies April 26, with 20 participants from several businesses around Boca Raton helping to raise $1,900.

The Young Business Professionals Program was created to support the local business leaders of tomorrow. Meetings give professionals in their 20s and 30s a chance to exchange and acquire business ideas while working toward establishing themselves locally and advancing their careers.

The March of Dimes March for Babies Walk was the first of many events to receive participatory support from the YBP group.

“The GBRCC is extremely excited to have the YBP group support other local non-profits because it gives us an opportunity to solidify the idea that business is community and community is business”, said Sari Vatske, manger of Government Affairs & Community Advocacy of the GBRCC.  “Even though the GBRCC has its own non-profit organization, the YBP group looks forward to working with and supporting other non-profits in the area.”

To get involved with YBP, contact Kristen Coleman at kcoleman@bocaratonchamber, or call 561-395-4433 ext. 233.
