A pool store in a plaza on Clint Moore Road in Boca Raton has petitioned the city for permission to install two 1,000-gallon chlorine tanks on the property.

The Planning & Zoning Board Thursday night will hear the request of the Pinch-A-Penny Pool Co., located in Feinrose Plaza, 1920 Clint Moore Road, for the tanks.

P&Z members will be asked to modify the conditional use and site plan approval that was approved by the City Council several years ago.  The modifications will allow the firm to put in the two chlorine tanks and a tank enclosure.

The petition has already been ruled “in compliance” by the Planning Advisory Committee, and other departments that reviewed the petition found no fault with it, according to documents filed in City Hall.

The Community Appearance Board indicated is will likely require screening around the tanks.

The plaza backs up to the cul-de-sac at the end of NW 21st Court.  None of the reviewing departments expressed concerns about that. The use will have no adverse impact on traffic, the document said.
