Jazz and art combo

Downtown Delray Beach will host Art and Jazz on the Avenue Thursday, May 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event will kick off with a parade by a New Orleans’ Second Line Band and will be headlined by internationally known Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, pictured.  Other highlights will include shopping, free downtown gift cards and a register-to-win weekend for mom in honor of Mother’s Day.  The parade will travel west on Atlantic Avenue from Veterans Park to Worthing Park. The Downtown Roundabout offers free shuttle bus until about 11 p.m. Atlantic Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4 to 10 p.m. between Swinton Avenue and SE Seventh Avenue.
