FROM STAFF REPORTS
Throughout the month of March Northern Trust Bank in Boca Raton will exhibit Betsey Chesler’s most recent body of work, featuring Infrared photography. All artwork was photographed locally in South Florida.
Ms. Chesler has studied Art and Photography at the “Boca Raton Museum School of Art” directly under world-renowned photographer, Jack Wild. During that time she also interned for the Boca Raton News as a photojournalist.
Chesler’s infrared work has most recently won an art competition for a national publication, “Life Images,” and will appear in its April 2008 edition.
In May 2008, Chesler will travel to South Africa with the “Eyes On Africa Foundation”; a non profit organization created to provide relief to poverty and disease ridden areas throughout South Africa. Chesler will photograp, conduct interviews and document her findings there with plans to collaborate with the press as well as write a book on the subject. Much of the proceeds will go toward the organization.
