• Dr. Jason Luchtefeld Family Dentistry has announced the opening
of its newly remodeled practice in Pompano Beach. Luchtefeld, DMD, is
a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and International Congress
of Orallmplantologists. The firm also announced it is the first firm
in South Florida certified to have and use a new laser technology for
soft tissue laser treatments in place of surgery.
• The grand opening party for Kerzen, the new candle store
in Boca Raton, is Friday (tonight). The store is located in Mizner
Park. Hor’dorves and wine will be served from 6-8 pm. Discount
cards for future purchases will also be given. A portion of the sales
will benefit the Boca Raton Children’s Museum.
• Boca Developers, a luxury real estate developer based in
Deerfield Beach, has established a Latin American Sales Division.
It will operate out of the Biscayne Landing office in North Miami,
as an affiliate of the Company’s Sales Division, a new department
that was born from the Company’s steady expansion and response
to marketplace demands. Fernando Valdivieso, and focus on marketing
all of Boca Developers’ projects to the South will head the
Latin American division and Central American markets. “The addition
of this department reflects Boca Developers’ continued growth
and subsequent desire to reach a broader market with more diversified
product,” said Brian Street, president, Boca Developers. “The
Latin market has and continues to be an important market for us and
having a dedicated division to further strengthen existing relationships
is a natural progression.”
• Pediatrician David Marcus, M.D. will host a free lecture
to new and expectant parents at Borders bookstore at noon, Saturday,
Dec. 1, in Boca Raton. Marcus is a board-certified pediatrician, a
graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine and has been
practicing pediatric medicine for more than 20 years.
• GFA International has announced the promotion of FredericK
G. Kaub, P.G. to President. Kaub began his career with the company
in 1988 as a founding partner. GFA International is a 19-year old,
turnkey engineering consulting firm specializing in environmental,
geo-technical, construction materials testing, special and threshold
inspections, private provider and code compliance services. Its corporate
office is in Delray Beach, and with fully autonomous offices in Boca
Raton, Jacksonville, Stuart, Fort Myers, and Orlando.
• The West Boca Chamber of Commerce has a new interactive website,
www.westbocachamber.com. The web site contains many of the new state-of-the-art
Web 2.0 technologies, including blogs, RSS, dynamic photo galleries,
real-time member registration and soon, real-time event registration.

edge products are being offered to our local business owners which
will aid in giving them the edge in this ever changing marketplace”,
said Chrissy Piazza, Chamber chair. The next Chamber breakfast is
Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Boca Greens Country Club, with Congressman
Robert Wexler as guest speaker. The Chambers December Network will
be on Thursday, Dec. 20 at Millers Ale House on Glades Road in Boca.

• Robert Cannellos, senior project manager and director of
sustainable programs for the architectural firm, Garcia Stromberg
of Boca Raton and Stuart will be a keynote speaker on LEED and Green
Building Design at the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County's
Green Building Roundtable event, Dec. 12, 8 – 9 a.m. at the
Business Development Board (BDB) offices, 310 Evernia Street, West
Palm Beach. Cannellos, is a LEED certified professional, co-founder
and Vice-Chair, U.S. Green Building Council Palm Beach County and
Treasure Coast Branch.
