Sachs & Sax promotes three; Snelling takes director’s
post

Sachs & Sax Managing Director Peter S. Sachs has announced that
the firm has promoted three attorneys. Linda L. Snelling, chair of
the firm’s Estate, Probate & Wealth Planning practice group,
has been named a director. Robert J. Boyd and Robert Rivas, both based
in Sachs & Sax’s Tallahassee office, have been named equity
members.
Snelling, a Florida certified public accountant as well as an attorney,
has a master of laws in taxation degree from the University of Florida
College of Law. She concentrates in the areas of estate planning,
probate, guardianship and general taxation and is admitted to practice
before the United States Tax Court.
She joined Sachs & Sax in 2002 and was named an equity member
in 2003. Prior to her legal practice, Snelling was a public accountant
in an international accounting firm. A resident of Boca Raton, she
is a member of the Stonegate Advisory Board and serves as treasurer
of the Caridad Center, a non-profit organization.
Boyd heads the firm’s Government Relations Practice Group and
will serve as managing member of the Tallahassee office. He practices
administrative, legislative, governmental affairs and education law.
He joined Sachs & Sax in 2006 as senior counsel.
Boyd received his B.A. cum laude from Rollins College in 1985 and
his J.D. with honors from Florida State University College of Law
in 1988.
Rivas will head the Tallahassee office’s litigation group.
A former journalist, he practices in the areas of civil litigation,
commercial trial and appellate litigation, media, first amendment,
government ethics and public records law.
Rivas joined Sachs & Sax in 2004 as senior counsel. He is a member
of the Florida Bar and American Bar Association, and sits on the Board
of Directors for ACLU of Florida, Inc. Rivas received his B.A. at
the University of Florida and his J.D. at Nova University, Shepard
Broad Law Center.
Sachs & Sax has offices in Boca Raton, Tallahassee and Port St.
Lucie.
