Boca Raton based Jarden Consumer Solutions is a finalist in the 2007
best housewares products of the year design awards, according to HomeWorld
Business, a trade magazine giving the awards. Products judged were
introduced to the United States market between October 1, 2006 and
September 30, 2007.
Jarden became a finalist on the strength of its Margaritaville Premium
Frozen Concoction Maker, entered in the electric food preparation
division of the awards, one of 13 categories of housewares judged
for the competition.
According to reviewers, the new device shaves the ice instead of
chopping it like a blender would do. “This creates that nice
smooth consistency of the drink instead of a lumpy texture,”
said one reviewer.
This fifth annual awards program by HomeWorld Business, is being
held with educational support from the International Housewares Association
and with sponsorship from George Little Management and DuPont(TM)
Teflon(R).
Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jarden
Corporation. JCS markets many well-known products i.e., Bionaire®,
Crock-Pot®, FoodSaver®, Health o meter®, Holmes®,
Mr. Coffee®, Oster®, Patton®, Rival®, Seal-a-Meal®,
Sunbeam®, and VillaWare®.
The firm has nearly 13,000 employees, and operates in approximately
25 offices and manufacturing facilities in eleven countries, and in
headquartered in Boca Raton on Executive Center Drive.
